California Faucets has been designing, hand-finishing, and assembling solid-brass faucets at its own Huntington Beach factory since 1988, founded by Fred Silverstein and long the only independently owned custom faucet company in the country. The company was recently acquired by American Bath Group, but it's still led by the same management team and still hand-finished in Huntington Beach. What hasn't changed is the customization: rather than a handful of stock finishes, you're choosing from a genuinely custom mix of spouts, handles, and finishes, built to order rather than pulled off a shelf.
